An MP of the Mizo National Front (MNF), an NDA ally, had his microphone switched off in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday while arguing against calling "tribal people in Manipur Myanmarese”.
The MNF had declared it would vote against the Modi government in the no-confidence motion. Amid ruckus, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar adjourned the session, stating that MNF MP K Vanlalvena's speech wouldn't be recorded.
Vanlalvena referenced Union Home Minister Amit Shah's speech in the Lok Sabha, where he discussed uncontrolled infiltration from Myanmar after a military coup.
