Rahul Gandhi focuses on symbolism in no-confidence motion speech, says ‘Bharat Mata murdered in Manipur’

Rahul Gandhi, in a targeted Lok Sabha address during the no-confidence motion debate on Wednesday, invoked powerful symbolism, accusing the ruling party of harming "Bharat Mata" in Manipur and the nation. He revived his "nafrat vs mohabbat (hatred vs love)" criticism of the BJP-led central government. While Gandhi’s recollection of his Bharat Jodo Yatra aimed to portray his connection with the country, he subtly criticised the government's grasp of India's complexity. Notably, he abstained from mentioning the Adani issue, which had sparked controversy earlier. Gandhi assured a moderated tone but vowed a few critical points, fostering anticipation.
