As the Telangana elections approach, the nephew of an MP from the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has sought a Congress ticket for an assembly seat within his uncle's constituency, The New Indian Express reported.
The aspirant reportedly approached Congress leaders in New Delhi, pledging support to other party candidates in exchange for a ticket.
While his effort “bore fruit”, it irked the BRS leadership who confronted the MP over the nephew’s deal with the Congress. The MP has reportedly been asked to discourage the young aspirant from seeking to contest as a Congress candidate.
