BJP leader A Chandrashekar, a former minister and five-time MLA in Telangana, has sparked a row by accusing the party of neglecting Dalit leaders in the state. Chandrashekar was reportedly denied a pass to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public meeting in Warangal on Saturday.
Expressing his displeasure, he stated that while the BJP seeks Dalit votes, it does not give importance to Dalit leaders within the party. He warned that unless the party changed its attitude, it would struggle to gain support from Dalits in the upcoming state polls.
He also criticised the party's decision to remove Bandi Sanjay as state BJP president, claiming that it was a grave mistake.
Chandrashekar further questioned the party leadership's preference for Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender and raised concerns about Modi targeting Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family over corruption allegations during the Warangal public meeting.
