Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced a significant increase in pension for persons with disabilities, raising the monthly payment by Rs 1,000 to a total of Rs 4,116.
Speaking at a public gathering in Mancherial district headquarters, Rao emphasised the commitment of his government and his BRS party to prioritize the welfare of the people. He also outlined plans to expand mining activities in Singareni Collieries.
Rao accused the Congress and BJP opposition parties of allegedly working against the interests of the collieries, with the Congress having sold 49 per cent of the company's shares to the central government, and the BJP contemplating privatisation.
Rao criticized the central government's reliance on coal imports despite sufficient domestic mining capabilities, and emphasizing the importance of coal mining in boosting thermal power production in the country.
